Frequently Asked

Questions

Have questions? Here are some of the most common things people want to know before joining—especially around safety, certification pathways, and logistics.

Is it intense?

Sessions are intentionally gentle and paced. You’ll always stay within what feels safe and supportive for your body — no force, no breath holds.

Is it suitable if I’m new to breathwork?

Yes — it’s designed to be a beginner-friendly introduction. You’ll be fully guided into the work step-by-step, with plenty of support to help you feel grounded throughout.

Is this part of certification?

Yes — this retreat counts toward the in-person requirement for the Advanced Professional Practitioner Certification.

Is Mexico safe?

Yes—the Chemuyil/Tulum area is a well-traveled, visitor-friendly region. Our venue is in a calm community where we’ve held our retreats for many years. We can organize private or shared shuttles from Cancun International Airport directly to the retreat.

Is intense work better for releasing trauma?

Lasting change comes from working gently and within your nervous system’s capacity. BBTRS® avoids forced catharsis — safety, pacing, and consent guide every session. Deep shifts can happen without overwhelm.

Refunds/transfers?

BBTRS® does not offer refunds; see transfer policy. Travel insurance is recommended.
