Who this training is for

For those ready to guide trauma-informed breathwork safely And Ethically

This certification suits anyone called to work compassionately with breath, body, and trauma. No prior facilitation background required—just a commitment to embodied growth and ethical practice. You’ll fit right in if you are...

A therapist, coach or bodyworker integrating structured, trauma-informed breathwork into your practice

A somatic or movement practitioner seeking a grounded, evidence-aware method

A facilitator-in-training or career-changer ready to hold space responsibly

BBTRS® retreat graduate ready to take the next step toward certification

This may not be for you if you’re seeking peak-state experiences, fast-tracked catharsis or performance-style breathwork. We prioritize pacing, consent and integration.

What You’ll Gain

Graduate ready to guide trauma-informed breathwork

  • Structure 1:1 sessions with safety and clarity

  • Reduce overwhelm with pacing and titration

  • Work with patterns (7 Belts of Tension, developmental themes)

  • Hold boundaries, articulate scope and ethics

  • Explain the method simply to clients

You’ll leave with a method, not just techniques—so you know what to do, when, and why.

The BBTRS® Method

Six elements.

One coherent system.

The BBTRS® method is built on six core elements that work together to safely release trauma stored in the body:

  • Breath — entry to awareness and regulation

  • Movement — frees held tension

  • Sound — supports expression and discharge

  • Touch — grounds and contains

  • Emotion — integrates feeling with body

  • Meditation — presence and integration

It’s not about pushing for big releases or altered states. BBTRS® takes a gentler path — we stay within the body’s window of tolerance, working slowly and with consent, so the nervous system can truly integrate change rather than be overwhelmed.

Module 1: Foundations of Trauma-Informed Breathwork

Lay the groundwork by experiencing BBTRS® in your own body. You’ll learn how trauma patterns live in the nervous system and how the 6 Elements—Breath, Movement, Sound, Touch, Emotion, Meditation—support regulation, release, and integration. The focus is safety, consent, pacing, and your growing capacity to stay present.
