Why people come

Some tension waits for a different kind of attention.

Chronic tightness that returns no matter what. Patterns of reaction that loop even when you understand them. A sense that something is held, somewhere beneath language, that hasn't softened with talking, thinking, or effort alone.

01

You've done meaningful inner work and want to go deeper, through the body, not around it.

02

You're a practitioner, therapist, or facilitator seeking your own embodied process with the source of the method.

03

You're carrying tension, pain, or patterns that haven't loosened with talk-based approaches alone.

04

You want a trauma-informed, paced container, not catharsis for its own sake.

In a session

What we focus on together.

Each session is shaped by what you bring. Across the work, we move through five anchors of attention.

A trauma-informed breathwork session
  1. Where past trauma, developmental and shock, is being stored in your physical body.

  2. How that storage shows up as chronic tension, pain, or patterns that no longer serve you.

  3. The connection between physical sensation and trauma-related patterns of response.

  4. How to work with felt sense, internal and external resources, breath, and movement.

  5. How to mobilize and release what's been held: physically, emotionally, and mentally.

Meet Giten Tonkov

Twenty years. Thousands of clients. One body-based path.

Giten Tonkov is the developer of the Biodynamic Breathwork & Trauma Release System® and author of the bestseller Feel to Heal. For nearly two decades he has guided thousands of clients across the world, drawing on Licensed Massage Therapy, certified breath and body-oriented therapy, somatic psychology, and decades of meditation practice.

The work is grounded in his own lived experience. A childhood accident left trauma stored in his body in ways the mind could not reach. The years of practice that followed became the foundation of what BBTRS® is today.

The session

How a session unfolds.

One-to-one, via Zoom, in a quiet space you've prepared. Paced to your nervous system from start to close.

1. Check-in

A short conversation to share what you're bringing and what feels alive right now.

2. Settling

Grounding the nervous system before activation, orienting, slowing, arriving in the body.

3. The practice

Guided breath, movement, sound, and presence, staying within what your system can hold.

4. Integration

Rest and reflection, so you leave the session settled, not opened, and ready for the day.

Before you book

Honest questions, honest answers.

No. Sessions are paced to where you are right now. Giten will guide you through everything you need to know, and you stay in choice throughout: pace, depth, and direction are always yours.
That's exactly what trauma-informed pacing is for. The work stays within your capacity, slowing down, returning to ground, and integrating before moving forward. You're never asked to push past what feels safe, and you can pause or stop at any moment.
No. Breathwork can complement other care you're receiving, including psychotherapy or medical support, but it isn't a replacement for either. If you're currently working with a therapist or physician, we encourage you to share that this work is part of your process.
A quiet, private space where you won't be interrupted. Comfortable clothing. Water. A stable internet connection and a device with camera and microphone. Eating lightly beforehand is generally helpful. Full preparation notes are sent after booking.
Yes. Everything shared in a session is held in confidence, in line with the standards of professional somatic and breathwork practice.
